Survivors of Childhood Abuse
Virtually across New York
“YOU matter.”
“YOU matter.”
- Alicia Leporati, LMHC
Flashbacks at brunch? We talk about that here.
You’ve gotten GOOD at pretending you’re fine—but inside, you’re unraveling.
Maybe you remember everything, or it’s just a foggy feeling that something wasn’t right. Sprinkle in intense reactions or flashbacks that come out of nowhere, leaving you shaken—at work, in relationships, even at your favorite coffee spot.
You feel ashamed, confused, maybe even “crazy”—but deep down, you know it’s your childhood peeking through. You’re tired of carrying this alone.
Ghosts of the past, meet the exit.
Envision finally living in a world that you built—not one your abuser left behind. With a strong sense of self, a no-BS filter for what you deserve, and a cozy support crew who loves the real, unmasked you.
You’re calling the shots now—your choices feel aligned, safe, and actually yours. The past didn’t vanish, but it sure as hell isn’t running the show anymore. You are.
Why me?
I’m a survivor too—and I know how confusing, lonely, and damn exhausting it can be to carry this alone. I know what it’s like to grow up with chaos and still try to function like everything’s fine.
I’m here because I get it—and I get you. To hold space for the messy, tender, WTF-is-even-happening parts, and help you build a life that actually feels like yours.
We’ll laugh, cry, drop a few f-bombs… and slowly, what happened stops steering the ship. You take the wheel.

Who this type of therapy is for:
→ Adult survivors of childhood abuse ready to unpack the past without shame.
→ Women, non-binary, and queer folx who’ve been masking for years and just want to feel like themselves, not their trauma.
→ People caught off guard by flashbacks, triggers, or reactions that derail relationships, work, and everyday life.
→ Anyone who’s ever thought, “What if it was my fault?” or “Maybe I made it up.”
→ Those feeling disconnected from their story, unsure what’s real, but very sure something’s not right.
→ Those navigating chronic health issues and mental health struggles after childhood abuse.
