This isn’t self-help—it’s self-liberation.
Virtually across New York
Functioning like a pro. Feeling like a mess?
Picking apart your body in the mirror? Trauma and flashbacks feeling like an emotional ambush? Or just sick of masking the real you? It’s a lot.
You might be the go-to friend, the one who gets things done—but you’re silently unraveling, because your trauma didn’t get the memo that you’re busy.
You’ve read the books, nodded along to all the relatable social media therapists’ posts, but you still feel stuck.
Let’s imagine the good stuff for a sec...
Picture taking time to focus on your healing.
You wake up and don’t immediately start mentally cataloging what you did wrong yesterday. You’re at home in your body, not at war with it.
You’re not haunted by the past. You’re grounded in who you are—without trauma hijacking your brain with anxiety in your 2 pm Zoom meeting... again.
You’re grounded, speaking up, trusting your gut, and finally knowing what safety feels like. You’re not just surviving—you’re living (and laughing) again.
Not your mom’s therapist (Unless she’s cool as hell)
I don’t just talk the talk—I’ve lived the hard stuff, felt the weight of it, and done the work.
I’m a queer, feminist, single mom, survivor of childhood abuse, and a proud anti-diet rebel who’s made peace with food (after years of fighting it).
That’s why this work is personal to me. I show up with wisdom, realness, heart, and humor to hold space for your healing, because I know what’s possible on the other side.

What healing looks like:
→ Not giving a single f*ck about how your body looks to others—or how your favorite froyo order might mess with your “goals”.
→ Feeling fully seen, truly understood, and totally yourself—not some buttoned-up, “perfect” version. (Masks off!)
→ Showing up confident, secure, and excited for life—including in your relationships, work, and hobbies.
→ Owning your story, with an internal world that’s yours, not hijacked by trauma or your past abuser.
→ You’re not just surviving anymore—you’re here, rooted in the present, breathing fully into now.
Meet the Clinician
Hey, I’m Alicia Leporati, LMHC.
New Yorker, therapist, artist, and all-around real human.
I’m here as a safe space for survivors of childhood abuse, and the wild ride of living LGBTQIA+ in today’s world, plus those battling a complicated relationship with food and their body.
My style? Conversational, collaborative, a little quirky, and totally attuned. If you’re looking for deep healing with someone who truly gets it, I’ve got you.
